The sale ends at midnight. Your settings don't.

Everyone remembers to turn the sale up. The expensive part is what's still turned up on Thursday. You still call the shots: which campaigns, how much to lift, when it starts and ends. Event rules apply your plan for exactly the window you set, then put every single setting back when it closes.

The event is 48 hours. The cleanup isn't.

Event prep is a checklist people run under pressure: raise this, force-run that, boost the other thing. The un-prep is a checklist nobody runs, because it comes due at midnight when the event ends and everyone has stopped looking.

Midnight

When events end. Prime Day closes, BFCM closes, and the exact moment every boosted setting should come back down is the exact moment nobody is at a keyboard.

Days

How long inflated budgets quietly survive after the event, because the person who raised them is asleep, off, or busy. "I'll fix it tomorrow" rarely means tomorrow.

Every event is two events: the one where you change everything, and the one where you have to remember what you changed and undo all of it.

01

Connect your account

One OAuth handshake through the official Amazon Ads API. Off Hours reads your campaigns, budgets, and states, so it knows exactly what "back to normal" means.

02

Set the window

Dates, not cron. Prime Day, BFCM, a launch week: a start and an end. The rule applies for exactly that window and not a minute past it.

03

Choose the boost

Raise budgets, force campaigns to run 24 hours, boost where it matters, on selected campaigns or the whole account. Enforced every 15 minutes for the length of the window.

04

It restores, then verifies

The day before the window closes, you get a notice of exactly what will change back overnight, and the dashboard shows a preview of pending restores. Afterwards, a reconciler double-checks that every change was actually reverted, and fixes anything that wasn't.

Event rule · one window

One window. Zero residue.

Three weeks around one 48-hour event. Everything the rule raises inside the window comes back down when it closes. The days after are identical to the days before.

Anyone can turn it up. We put it back.

Raising budgets before Prime Day takes ten minutes in the console. Off Hours is built around the half nobody stays up for: the restore.

The restore is the feature

Every change an event rule makes is written down with its return value. When the window closes, everything walks back to exactly how it was: budgets, campaign states, all of it, automatically.

…and then it's verified

After the event, a reconciler re-checks that every change made during the window was actually reverted, and fixes anything that wasn't. "Probably restored" isn't good enough after a 48-hour spend boost.

You'll never be surprised

The day before the event ends, Off Hours sends a notice of exactly what will restore overnight, and the dashboard shows a live preview of every pending restore. You always know what's about to change back.

Your hands stay on the wheel

Manual changes you make during the window are respected. The rule won't overwrite them, and the restore won't clobber them when the event ends. Your changes always win.

Layers with three more rule types

Event rules decide what's special this week. Dayparting, budget, and performance rules handle the everyday, and when the window closes your overnight dayparting pause takes over again automatically.

A safety net under the event

High-spend windows are exactly when spend goes strange. Free always-on spend alerts keep watching every connected account for spikes, drops, and drift, during the event and after it.

How spend alerts work →

Pair it with spend alerts.

Event windows are exactly when spend goes strange. Free always-on alerts watch the window for spikes and drops so you don't have to.

The other plan is a spreadsheet.

A tab of every setting you touched, and a promise to undo it all at midnight. It works right up until one row gets missed.

Off Hours

Applied, restored, verified

  • The window is applied and restored automatically. Nobody logs in at midnight
  • A reconciler verifies the restore afterwards and fixes anything that didn't revert
  • Day-before notice of exactly what will change back overnight
  • Manual changes during the window respected: never overwritten, never clobbered
The war-room spreadsheet

Someone has to undo it all at midnight

  • A hand-kept spreadsheet of everything you changed, written under pressure
  • The restore depends on someone actually doing it at midnight when the event ends
  • No verification that every row really got reverted
  • One missed row = weeks of quiet overspend

Event rules, answered.

What is an event rule in Off Hours?

An event rule takes a date window (Prime Day, Black Friday/Cyber Monday, a launch week) and applies your changes for exactly that window: raise budgets, force campaigns to run 24 hours, across selected campaigns or the whole account. When the window ends, every change is automatically restored to exactly how it was before the event.

What happens when the event window ends?

Every change the rule made walks back to its pre-event value automatically: budgets, campaign states, all of it. Then a reconciler double-checks that every change made during the window was actually reverted, and fixes anything that wasn't. You also get a notice the day before the event ends listing exactly what will restore overnight, and the dashboard shows a preview of pending restores.

What if I make manual changes during the event?

They're respected. If you adjust a budget or pause a campaign by hand during the window, the rule won't overwrite your change, and the restore won't clobber it when the event ends. Your manual changes always win.

Can an event rule cover my whole account?

Yes. An event rule can apply to selected campaigns or to the entire account, applies-to-all. One rule can raise every budget and keep every campaign running for the window, then restore all of it when the window closes.

How is this different from just editing budgets before Prime Day?

Editing budgets up is the easy half. The hard half is remembering every edit and undoing all of it at midnight when the event ends. With an event rule the un-edit is automatic, verified by a reconciler afterwards, and announced the day before. No spreadsheet of what you changed, no midnight login.
